MaxYield Soils and Coco Pots to maximize your harvest yields
MaxYield Mediums are designed to produce maximum yields. For high value crops, a 10% increase to harvest weight can equate to 2,500-5,000% annualized return on investment (see example below). Averting contamination from heavy metals, residual pesticides, or aspergillus mold lurking in cheaper mediums can be the difference between success and a total crop failure. Prefilled coir pots can save many thousands in labor, at half the expense of stonewool alternatives. There is no better place to invest in your farm than in the soil/media. MaxYield Soil is an organically-charged living soil with a coco coir-peat-perlite-lava rock base. CM3 Soil is a light/fast coco-peat-perlite blend, also available in 1.5cf bags, 2 CY totes and bulk deliveries. It is biochar-enhanced but does not contain any N-P-K. MaxYield Coco Pots are prefilled with coco coir, never compressed, utilizing 3 layers of coco coir and no cheap/risky by-product such as pith (fines) or chips (ground coconut shell). Pith and chips are leftover materials from coir harvested and sold to China for consumer goods. Often these by-products are left to rot in the tropics until a broker sells them to a horticultural brand. MaxYield Coco is 100% aged Philippine coir, no chips nor pith.
This thoroughly washed, low-EC coir from Conibo Organics is harvested from organic-certified plantations and expertly managed from plantation to US warehouses. Because we don't compress the coir, the fine hairs and air capacity is maintained to avoid going anaerobic. And you save a ton of time and water, not having to hydrate each cube. Simply squeeze to fluff up, and plant.
The upper layer of these prefilled pots is a germination grade, fine chop, designed to enhance lateral wicking of moisture from your emitters. For autoflowers and other seed-based plantings, this also maintains proper media-to-seed contact for optimal germination rates.
The middle layer is a medium-chop coco, designed to mimic air-to-media ratios similar to Grodan stonewool. We incorporate a secret ingredient into this layer to enhance microbial activity in your rhizosphere and boost plant vigor (ask, we'll tell you).
The bottom layer is a loose, airy, uncut coco coir that averts common issues with coir-based pots -- soggy roots. Your roots explode through the bottoms until they are eventually air pruned. No anaerobic refuges for pathogens such as fusarium and pythium to thrive.
We use a relatively thick fabric, compared to brands like CharCoir and Kaya that are pantyhose-thin, to provide the benefits of fabric-based pots (air pruning, root zone oxygen) without the overly fast dry-back inherent in thinner fabrics.

MaxYield Potting Soil is designed to maximize harvest yields for those farms preferring to fill pots or raised beds. This is a full spectrum living soil with a coco, peat, perlite, lava rock base. A small amount of lignin peat fibers are incorporated to improve lateral wicking and eliminate 'volcanoing'. There are no cheap fills such as redwood sawdust, greenwaste, farmed animal manures, or human waste (biosolids) that can retard growth and/or introduce unwanted chemicals such as glyphosate and myclobutanil. The coco coir is from Conibo Organics in the Philippines, and routinely tested for EC and pathogens before blending. Peat is selected from the best Baltic sources for more consistent pH/quality.
The soil is medium charged, like FoxFarm's Happy Frog intensity, but with 17 select dry amendments (crab meal, shrimp meal, fish meal, fish bone meal, etc) plus organic-fed worm castings, organic compost, oyster shell for calcium, and biochar for carbon+microbial life. We also give it a proven blend of mycorrhizae and beneficial bacterium to energize the organic charge and inoculate for pathogens. Generally the organics are sufficient for approx 2 weeks of vegetative growth, but with full grower control should you choose to fertigate on Day 1.
MaxYield is light, fluffy (marshmellowy, some say), and FAST. We recommend this soil for automated watering systems, though hand watering is possible. If you prefer a slower soil, we can increase the % of worm castings to slow it down on full truckload orders (72 cubic yards).
MaxYield Professional Potting Soil is available in 1.5 cubic foot (white) bags, 2 cubic yard totes, and bulk soil delivered by walking floor or transfer trailer (with a 20 CY minimum for bulk). Totes and bags are stocked in the stores for pickup or delivery. Full truckloads of 72 CY is delivered most economically directly from our mixing plant near Sacramento.
One unique advantage for our central coast clients is that we maintain inventory in Salinas, along with our own trucks. So if you are normally buying full truckloads and come up short on a re-plant, we can have up to 16-32 CY delivered quickly, sometimes within a couple hours.
CM3 Potting Soil is comprised of coco coir, peat, perlite and biochar. Like MaxYield Soil, CM3 has nothing but premium ingredients and no cheap/risky fills (same sourced inputs as MaxYield soil). Plants get what you feed it, and nothing else. This soil is preferred by those looking for no nutrient charge, at a low cost, and with high performance.
Bulk CM3 starts at $89/CY and is a great value for those not needing the organics/living soil but looking for a big yielding, fast/airy media. CM3 is also available in 2CY totes and 1.5 cubic foot bags. In-store pickup, local delivery, and full truckload options are available to retail and commercial growers.

Custom Soil Blends are available in truckload volumes, starting at 20 cubic yard transfer dump truck deliveries and going up to 100 CY in semi trucks with walking (conveyor) floors. Like MaxYield and CM3, we can also provide these in 2 cubic yard totes, up to 44 totes per flatbed truck (88 CY) depending on weight.
For example, we can add a 4-4-4 PerfectBlend Organic charge to CM3 for around $5 per cubic yard. Or blend without perlite. Add CDFA certified worm castings. Organic composts. Other inputs.
We can supply farms and blenders with flocked or compressed Baltic peat or our washed Philippine coco coir, uncut or specific grades.
